Expedition Colombia

Expedition Colombia is a collective of dedicated guides, conservationists and professional athletes. We are passionate about the use of adventure tourism as a tool to protect Colombia’s cultural and natural treasures. WHY WE DO IT: Our passion is to not only take people to Colombia’s most wild places, but to also protect them. We want the world to discover and value Colombia as one of the planet’s richest countries in terms of cultural and biological diversity. We show how our voices are necessary to ensure vital ecosystems and cultures are conserved, instead of being drastically altered by big business or tourism at a critical turning point in Colombia’s history and development. We started our own foundation with the support of local river communities to be the voice for river conservation. Together, our voices are being heard – by government, big corporations and the media. WHO WE ARE: We make-up an adventurous community of bilingual travel professionals and certified instructors and guides. Our team of pioneering Colombian guides and international professional athlete instructors specialize in cycyling, sailing, surfing, white-water rafting, kayaking, and mountain climbing and treking. Our international guides came from Canada, France, and the U.S., fell in love with Colombia, and teamed up with the country’s expert guides to give you the best of both worlds! We’ve created our tours to give a truly unique experience that is inconceivable for travelers to accomplish on their own. To ensure the safety of our travelers, our guides have all received extensive wilderness medical training and are linked with outside services at all times, ready to provide urgent assistance if necessary. Our team loves discovering the unexpected, exploring the unknown, learning about their surroundings, and making new Colombian friends along the way, so expect an adventure!
